Abstract:China’s modernization is inseparable from its rapid urbanization, which has brought about and continues to bring about significant changes to China’s rural areas. Against this background, China has begun to implement its rural revitalization strategy. This study focuses on Junying Village of Xiamen, the most economically developed city in Fujian Province. Junying Village maintains its original rural style because of its location in a mountainous area. By taking advantage of its own natural conditions and cultural characteristics, Junying Village has taken some measures to develop itself and has achieved remarkable results. In this process of revitalization, both Mandarin and Hokkien are widely used and linguistic landscapes also abound in the village, and they all play an irreplaceable and important role. In general, the language life of Junying Village is characterized by a relatively stable and harmonious relationship. However, Junying Village is now under the great pressure of rural population loss. It needs not only to upgrade and optimize its existing industries but also create new ones, which will place a higher demand on the language capacity of this village.
