Abstract
The concept and system of “Digital Chinese” have emerged along the developmental trajectory of “Digital Earth (Global) — Digital XX (Regional/Field) — Digital China (National/Comprehensive) — Digital Chinese”. From a holistic perspective, Digital Chinese constitutes a “seven-in-one” systematic framework, encompassing the following dimensions: Digital Chinese philosophy, technology, resources, applications, governance, research, and civilization. The future development of this system faces theoretical and practical challenges, which can be addressed through strategies such as improving policies and regulations, planning standards and norms, promoting interdepartmental collaboration, enhancing the transformation of scientific research achievements, and advancing technological innovation and application expansion—while remaining grounded in China’s national conditions and learning from international experience. Against the backdrop of the emerging “Threefold Coexistence” era of humans, machines, and nature, the future of Digital Chinese holds immense potential.
